We are only two months away from the release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and I’m sure, like me, that you can’t wait to get your hands on the very memorable new Pokémon. I didn’t know I needed Lechonk and Fidough in my life, but now that I’ve met them, there’s no turning back. If you’re looking for a daily dose of happiness, may I introduce: Lechonk memes.
If you’re a Pokemon fan, chances are you have a ton of merchandise. Maybe there are Pokémon cards from your childhood hidden in the attic. Somewhere in my house is a 20 year old Snorlax plush. Where? I do not know. What many of us wonder is how much these things are worth. Well, a Pokémon collection is now on sale for a mind-boggling amount.
Take a look at one Pokémon Scarlet and Violet trailer below.
As reported by BBC News, the world’s largest collection of Pokémon memorabilia will soon be auctioned and could fetch up to £300,000. The collection is owned by a Hertfordshire woman who wishes to remain anonymous. The objects have been collected for 25 years and there are believed to be over 20,000 objects in total.
The collection is sold as a single lot on October 18 at an auction house in Etwall, Derbyshire. The BBC reports that the collection includes trading cards, video games, manga, films, posters, toys, figurines, books, soft toys and even toilet paper. The seller is parting with her Pokémon collection for “financial reasons”. It could definitely be a life-changing sum to take home.
The collection includes three sealed German first edition base card packs and a signed Japanese Mew purse plush. The collection has already received a Guinness World Record certificate certifying that it is the largest Pokémon collection. Do you feel traces of envy? Same.
