Calcutta. Three Congress MPs from Jharkhand were arrested with a huge amount of cash in the vehicle in Howrah district next to Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. Confirming this, Howrah Rural Police said they were arrested near Ranihati Mor of Panchla Police Station area. The police had already received information about the presence of cash in the vehicle, after which they were taken from all sides. Jamtara MLA’s red colored panel was also installed on the black colored Innova vehicle. In this congress, three deputies Irfan Ansari, Rajesh Kashyap and Naman Dixit were on board. There is so much cash in the vehicle that a bill counting machine was called to count it.
Police said the vehicle from which the money was recovered is registered in the name of Naeem Ansari who is also an entrepreneur in Bokaro. The three deputies were arrested. The driver was also arrested with them. They have not been able to show concrete documents on the origin of these people with such a sum of money. The peculiarity is that amid the recovery of 50 crores in cash and 50 crores worth of gold and silver items from the State House Grand Chief Partha Chatterjee and his friend Arpita Mukherjee who were arrested in the case of bribery of teacher appointment in West Bengal, Congress deputies in this way. Getting huge sums of money from the car has become headline news.
The officials of the Directorate of Execution (ED) also took note of it and obtained information from the police. It is learned that the three MPs were about to travel to Jharkhand via Mednipur with money, but they were stopped and arrested at Howrah itself.
